Memorial Contributions
The Foundation has a memorial and honorary gifts program, which is an easy and meaningful way for individuals to extend their condolences and congratulations throughout the year, while supporting a good cause. Donations support expanding the hospitality's workforce, promoting hospitality as a career of choice, funding important industry research, and supporting tomorrow's leaders through scholarships.
Make a memorial gift in lieu of flowers or sympathy cards, or an honorary gift in lieu of birthday, anniversary, or wedding present. It’s also a great way to recognize someone’s retirement, graduation, or job promotion, or a simple way to say "thanks."
Upon receipt of your gift, we will send notification to the family or friends of the deceased or to the person(s) being honored by your gift. (The amount of the gift will not be disclosed.) In addition, unrestricted memorial and honorary gifts will be recognized as part of the Annual Giving Campaign so you'll gain industry wide recognition in AH&LA's Annual Report, promotional publications, and on AH&LEF's Website. Restricted named memorial funds can also be created by friends and family. Examples of two recent memorial funds are the Steve Hymans Memorial Fund and the Creighton Holden Memorial Fund.
