AH&LEF offers two types of scholarships:

Academic Scholarships 
If you are enrolled in a U.S. undergrad or graduate hospitality degree program such as hotel/restaurant management, culinary arts, travel/tourism, or hotel administration, you're probably a candidate for an AH&LEF academic scholarship. The deadline date for consideration of a 2013 academic scholarship has passed. It was May 1, 2013. Winners will be announced in mid-July. Applications for 2014 scholarships will be accepted after January 1, 2014. Last year, the Foundation awarded scholarships to 343 hospitality management students totaling more than $514,500. Click here for more information on our academic scholarships.

Professional Development
Perfect for individuals currently working at a hotel property who want to advance their career by growing their industry knowledge or skill set, AH&LEF’s professional development scholarships provide assistance for distance learning courses and professional certification. If you are a hotel employee currently enrolled in either of these programs through the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute, then you eligible to apply for a scholarship.  Application deadlines are quarterly: January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.  For more information on professional development scholarships, click here.
